With so many pay hubs available now, request that a buyer pays a deposit through PayPal, Venmo, etc., before shipping (if that is allowed by OfferUp). And hopefully you don't stress too much. It seems as though OfferUp has buyer and seller protection, so I'm hopeful that you'll receive what is owed to you. Also, as much as I'd like to believe there are still good and honest people in the world, we still need to be leary unfortunately. Next time, see what options are available for payment before selling and shipping. Please let the Community know, myself in particular, your outcome in this. Prayers.

I think it's an acceptable question to ask. Maybe offer to deliver for a fee as well. I know for myself and where I live, I would be grateful and willing to pay extra (depending on the item) for someone to deliver. The town where I live doesn't have many people on board with OfferUp yet and the town is located about 30 minutes, give or take, to the next biggest city where many of us go for clothes, furniture, Costco, etc shopping. But it's not frequently that I go up there and there are a lot of desirable items for sale there. We do get a lot of those city folks in our town doing a little shopping to avoid paying taxes. So i definitely wouldn't be opposed to ask someone if they ever had my way and if so, if they'd be willing to meet somewhere here. Then there's the fact that i work graveyard and commute kids to and from school. This leaves my availability very narrow compared to a normal 9 to 5er or the such. So again, I'd be willing to pay a fee for a home delivery. I think an open mind about the situation and what could possibly work best for both the seller and buyer is key! And now there's shipping available too!.
