So, I've been a collectible license plate dealer for a long time. This is a recognized collectible item with international organizations and tens of thousands of people who engage in the hobby. There are even other, online marketplaces with who categories and divisions of their site dedicated to the hobby. However, on OfferUp, I've found it to be challenging. Not from the side of dealing with customers. On the contrary, I've sold many plates and have a 5-star rating. But, from OfferUp's support side there seems to not be clear direction on what is and isn't allowed. Every time I list I end up with at least one item which is flagged and taken down with the vague reference that it is illegal or promoting illegal activities. Usually, I email back to support and within 24-48 hours the item(s) are restored. Today, however, I had several items flagged. I emailed in and was sent back a carbon copy generic notice on every one saying you can't have stock photos or URLs in the listing or a whole laundry list of issues that didn't apply. I responded and said, "I'm confused, none of these issues apply to my listings?" and received another generic list which also cited License Plates less than 5 years old. Again, I wrote back stating that didn't apply in this case and asked for some additional clarification. I was finally responded to and told, "The decision is final and cannot be appealed." ??? I'm so confused by OfferUp's Support. I'm honestly trying to work within the rules. I have a great rating from dozens of buyers. I ship out within 12 hours on every purchase. I'm not trying to scam or get away with anything. But even when I am completely within the rules, I have listings that are being pulled without anything other than a vague response that doesn't seem to apply. Can anyone help me understand? I'm concerned that due to repeated listings being pulled my account is simply going to be banned but I'm not doing anything outside of the rules. Has anyone else experienced this with support?
